Practical Notes

Before you play.

Do the courses allow walking, or is a cart required?+

Most Johannesburg courses permit walking with a caddie. Steyn City and Blair Atholl are cart-mandatory. We arrange caddies on request — a standard part of the SA game.

Can you deliver rental clubs to my hotel?+

Yes. Standard delivery is to Sandton, Rosebank, Melrose Arch, Hyde Park and Waterfall hotels the evening before your first round, and collection after your last.

What are weekend guest restrictions?+

Several members-only courses restrict visitor tee times on weekends. We advise Tuesday–Friday for Glendower and Royal JK, and can arrange weekend rounds with member introductions where possible.

When is the best time to play in Johannesburg?+

September to May. October to April brings occasional afternoon thunderstorms — we schedule morning tee times and hold weather contingencies for every booking.
